it blesses our souls to see the Operation Christmas Child
Shoeboxes being delivered here to J103.
Monday is the deadline and I am praying for 500 shoeboxes that we
can take up to the LifeCare Center in Cleveland when we do the
remote Monday. As of right now we have 46 boxes that
have been dropped off. That leaves 453 to
go! Wow! That seems like an
impossibility...........except....
We just received a call from Chattanooga Christian Middle School
saying 200 boxes are on the way. I am picking up some
this afternoon from Boynon Elementary School, tomorrow from
Whitfield Academy, and I have a couple churches who's
boxes are going to be included in our trip to Cleveland.
We still have a ways to go. Will you help us
out? I have stacks of the Operation Christmas Child
"How-to" brochures in the lobby here at J103. The
brochures give you ideas on how to pack your shoe box.
It also reminds you to put the $7 per box to help with shipping,
and it has a label that you can choose between a girl and a boy and
a little box to check which age group your box is most appropriate
for.
Samaritan's Purse will place a Children's book that shares the plan
of salvation through Jesus in each box.
Hundreds of children, their families, and in some cases their
entire villages are being won for the Lord! That is
huge! And it starts with something so small.........a
shoebox!
Remember-the deadline is Monday-Nov. 23rd at 1pm. Make
your box one of the J103 boxes.
