Friends are Friends Forever

over the weekend (including Friday night) me and becca had the fun oppurtunity to hang out with two of our favorite couple friends. one lives in Cleveland, and the other in Winchester between Chattanooga and Nashville. we don't get to see our friends as often as we'd like (especially becca who doesn't play xbox with the ladies like i do with the guys), so it makes the times we DO get to hang out, even that much more pleasant.

also, this past Sunday at church, the pastor talked about relationships. he mainly focused on the relationship of a husband and wife in particular, but relationships nonetheless. i was just really reminded though over the past three days how important it is to have friends and other Godly relationships. not only the casual, hang-out-with-in-certain-situations, but the best friend you call when exciting things (engagements, promotions, etc) or even bad things (health, wrecks, etc) happen in life.

don't take for granted those friendships that you have, and if those relationships have gone sour or faded over time, like Mike Dubs (Michael W. Smith) said, "Friends are friends forever, if the Lord's the Lord of them." call/email/facebook/skype/whatever them. cause everybody needs a friend!

Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all time, and a brother is born for adversity!"

Proverbs 27:5-6, "A truly good friend will openly correct you. You can trust a friend who corrects you, but kisses from an enemy are nothing but lies."
