Dana Key met Jesus face to face Sunday night, June 6, 2010. He
will be missed by countless friends, family and fans.
One of the pioneer artists of Contemporary Christian Music....the
duo known as DeGarmo and Key consisted of Eddie DeGarmo and Dana
Key. Eddie and Dana met in first grade and were
lifelong friends. They played at a festival just a week
ago. Dana died suddenly from a dislodged blood clot
this past Sunday night at the age of 56.
One of my favorite songs from them is a little known tune that's
less than two minutes long. I dedicate this song to
Dana from all those who loved him as a follower of Jesus, a
minister, a musician and a friend. Here it is:
Seasons change, days go by, people come and peole go. Though our
paths lead us apart, they will meet one day I know.
For I owe you so much, dear friend, for all those treasured
times. For you've made me a richer man, having had you
in my life.
