God REALLY Loves Us!

The Bible says in 1 John 3:1, "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the children of God!"
Think about that for a minute. The children of God. Pretty awesome huh? You know, it wasn't always exactly that way. In many places in scripture we are referred to as the servants or slaves of God. Why? Because of our fallen nature, our sin-filled lives. Then there are my two favorite words in the English language: BUT JESUS...... We were slaves BUT JESUS set us free when he died on the cross for our sins, and NOW we are the CHILDREN OF GOD! Celebrate that today! No matter what kind of day you are having! Celebrate your status as a Child of God!
