Fire!

By now you've realized that we are off the air. Last night we were knocked off the air because of a fire! I've been knocked off because of failed equipment, tornadoes, hurricanes, air conditioning failures, etc. But I don't think I've ever seen this one. Check out the photos at the top of the page for a visual. A brush fire got way out of control on top of Lookout Mountain where our tower and transmitter are for 102.7. The worst news is, when 102.7 is off...so goes 103.1 and 105.9. The good news is, no one was injured and we did not suffer a total loss. We expect to be back on tonight sometime. Thanks to the firefighters and our fearless engineer! So, thank you for your prayers as we work to get back on the air. And, please remember what Smokey Bear says....."Only you can prevent forest fires!" Be careful out there!
