This morning I saw a web-news story from Japan that really
touched my heart-strings. A reporter and his cameraman
were in a devasted tsnumai stricken village. It was
abandoned. There was trash and rubble everywhere, and
in this little trash-strewn area were two dogs-one injured-both
dirty, weather-weary and hungry.
As the reporter would try to get closer to the injured dog-the
other dog would bark and walk towards the man as if to say, "Get
away from my friend." The story has a happy
ending-both dogs were rescued and are in an animal hosptal getting
the medical care they need.
It reminded me of the Bible verse that tells us how Jesus is a
friend who sticks closer than a brother.
You are that kind of friend also. Last week in our
Spring Shareathon we had nearly 600 listeners who became partners
and pledged to support this ministry financially.
If you missed the chance to give these last few days you can log
onto the homepage and make a pledge or call during office hours
423-892-1200 and give your support.
Thank you friend.
