Every year I hear of more and more people that have been impacted by Operation Christmas Child. In the Chattanooga Times Free Press this morning was an article on Yuri Lopez, a senior at Bryan College in Dayton. She was a Honduran orphan and received one of the shoeboxes when she was 6-years old. She said because of that box full of toys, personal hygiene items, and a note from the little girl who packed the box-the lonlieness she felt seemed to disapear and she knew that Jesus (and the family who sent her the box) loved her.
This story is really cool for me becasue.....Yuri plays soccer with my daughter Lauren at Bryan College. She is a little in size but has an incredible smile and heart.
Get your boxes for Operation Christmas Child from us here at J103, take your family and pack them, and then return them to us here at the studio no later than 12 noon on November 21. There is a Yuri waiting on you!
