Unless you grew up or lived any amount of time in Louisville KY you can not appreciate what is taking place this week in New Orleans.
Kentucky basketball is known world-wide because of two rivals-The University of Louisville and The University of Kentucky.
These two teams meet once a year during the season for the Dream Game. Louisville (my almamater) is mostly an urban school. Kentucky just 60 miles away in Lexington is not. In the city of Louisville there are probably just as many KY Wildcat fans as Lousiville Cardinals.
Saturday the two teams will face off in NCAA's Final Four. The winner will advance to the Championship game! This game means a lot more than bragging rights!
I will be on pins and needles Saturday watching my Cardinals, the underdogs, take on the #1 ranked KY Wildcats.
This week being from KY (mostly Louisville) makes me proud!!!!
