i just got back this afternoon from a weekend on top of Mt Leconte. we usually spend a night up there every year around Mother's day, me, my dad and my brother. the past three years my Uncle Mark has been able to go as well which has been fun. if you've never been to Leconte, it's really close to the Townsend and Gatlinburg area up in the Smoky Mountains. each year we stay in the Lodge which has been around since 1926! love the place, the food and especially the sights from the nearby Myrtle Point and the Cliff Tops. this was my 4th of 6 years to make it up there and already can't wait to go back! you can check out their informational website and blog to see the sunrise we caught this weekend!
