The Best According to Brett

so you may have seen a few things here and there with mention of J103 winning the #1 radio station honors in the Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of The Best competition. it's a pretty cool deal and a great honor to have been voted #1 radio station in our area. thank you again for your support!

all this Best of the Best stuff really got me thinking though on some of my favorite places here in the Chattanooga area, so I present to you without further adieu...

Best Sweet Tea Not Too Far From The Radio Station

There are a lot of places to choose from that offer sweet tea in our area of Ringgold Road. A LOT! Unfortunately, a lot of places (especially when you go through the drive-thru) put WAY too much ice in your cup that the tea is watered down even by the time i get back to the station. All that said, on most days, McDonalds seems to have the healthiest balance of ice and sweet, sweet tea in our area. plus, it's only a $1! McDonalds at East Ridge

Best Place to See A Chattanooga Sunset

Now this is my opinion, Sunset Rock is awesome, but not the best place. I love the view from right down on the water from Coolidge Park just to the east of the Walnut Street Bridge. On a great, clear day the sky AND water are blazing a brilliant, Tennesse orange that would make any Vols fan proud to live in the TN Valley. Chattanooga Parks and Rec

Best Disc Golf Course

The Sinks! Hands down this place has everything: a tough wooded course, concrete tee-pads for pros and amateurs, multiple pin placements, driving range and putting area! The Sinks Disc Golf Course

Best Place at the J103 Studios to Get Away

Most places for some alone time you sneak away to the bathroom, but not at the J103 studios. Here, the best place to get away from people and get work done is in Ted's office after he leaves for the day. Since he comes in so early, he's gone usually by 2:00 which leaves his office at the end of the building very empty! He even has a door to close out everyone else AND a door to the outside balcony area! Someone must be living right! Ted's Blog

Best Co-worker to Antagonize

I love pushing buttons, it's why I'm quite good at video games. Here at the radio station, there's buttons you can push to get people going: Steve (station manager) with classic radio, Joel (sales rep) with classic Christian music artists, etc. The best reactions come from Fatima (sales coordinator) though. You get one of two reactions, the whiny "quit picking on me" one or the death stare "I'm going to KILL you" look. Both of which are even better when her husband Manuel is around to egg it on. Best Artist to Hang Out With

This one was really close between Rhett Walker and the Sidewalk Prophets, but the guys of Sidewalk Prophets win out just because I've got to hang out with them more often and there's more of them. They just so happen to be some of the most genuinely honest, genuinely funny guys I've been around. You wonder why we seem to have them in concert here so often? It's cause they're amazing guys!
