Next week our youngest son wil turn 19.......that will mark the
beginning of the last year of us being "parents of a teenager!"
Mark Twain once said, "When you have a child put them in a pickle
barrell with a knot hole. When that child becomes a
teenager-plug up the knot hole!"
My wife and I both survived our teen years, Lauren and Trevor's
teen years and almost all of Chipper's.
We have been blessed! God gave us three incredible,
respectful, obeidient kids who love Him.
We had help! Lots of Help! From our
parents to church members to great teachers and friends along the
way.
Two of those great teachers is Mrs Marty and Mrs Teena.
When we learned Chipper was hearing impaired God
provided us with a great program led by these two "angels."
They helped us learn how to communicate with our son
and helped him get a great headstart on surviving in a hearing
world.
The program continues to bless families of kids with hearing and
speech difficulties. They are having a fundraiser next
Friday, May 29th from 6pm-10pm at the Chickamauga Marina, 3001
Kings POint Rd. Delicious BBQ, live entertainment and
auction. And all the proceeds go to this incredible
program.
