New Beginnings-getting rid of a Big End-ing

Well, the time has come for me to once again tighten up the belt, lace up the running shoes and get going.

This summer was so busy and hectic that I fell into the habit of skipping my exercise regime. I am a firm believer that fitness is a lifestyle and not something you can "yo-yo".

I try to always stay in good physical shape. I am getting real close to living longer than my father did. (He would of been 50 years old had he not passed away three months sooner). I am 48.

I want to be around to see my grandkids. I want to be THAT grandpa who gets down and plays with them and chases them around the playground.

To do that-I have to stay focused. My good friend Justin has bragged on me in the past saying I can be one of the most focused and diligent and devoted person when it comes to diet and fitness.

I have put on some weight that I want to shed. I have found myself starting to snore (a clear sign I have put on weight), and I have been eating whatever I want, whenever I want it.

Today is the new beginning. I grilled my chicken for the first part of the week's lunches. I have packed my five meals per day and I am hitting the "trail" and gym consistently starting this afternoon and making it a priority.

Watch me "waste away" And........why not join me! Fall means cooler weather and more enjoyable outside!
