Missing my Grandma on Groundhog day
"Hey Grandma......Did you see your shadow this morning?" That's how my telephone call would go every November 2.
My Grandma Wiley's Birthday was November 2, so each year I would call her (or stop by to see her) to wish her a Happy Birthday and would always ask her if she saw her shadow that morning. She always enjoyed that she shared her Birthday with Groundhog day. My Grandfather, always the character (wonder where I got it from), really enjoyed it-he would follow her around and say "there it is".
On this day, I miss all of my wonderful grandparents, but I am so thankful for the impact they made in my life.
Thank You Lord, for great Godly grandparents! (whether they saw their shadows or not).
