The morning the lights went out in Georgia
Are you ready in the event of a power outage during the nighttime hours?
I guess I sort of was. This morning I was up, in the shower and getting ready to come into work. it was dark outside and the power began flicking and then.....I was in the dark while in the shower. So what do you do? I finished bathing (my fellow associates here at J103 will appreciate that), stepped out of the shower in the dark and finished drying off, reached for my cell phone an hit the flashlight app. Good to go!
After getting dressed and heading to the other part of the house-I lit the only candle I could find......one of those Yankee type candles-so I'm sure that when my wife got up the living room smelled really good.
It dawned on me-we need to put together an "emergency kit" and store it somewhere where we all know it is so in the event of a dark experience like today we are ready.
