Valentines Day-how could it be depressing?

Remember to look around you

On Sunday, we will be focusing on that one person God has put into our lives to "Complete us" (as Jerry McGuire would say).

We will spend millions of dollars as a country getting flowers, candy, jewelry, dinner reservations, and countless other gifts and services.

But as we do this-can I encourage you to look around-and perhaps see those who have not found yet or does not have that special someone in their life. Valentines Day can be very depressing for someone who has "lost" the love of their life (either through death or the death of the relationship).

I don't think it is just a coincidence that Valentines Day is on Sunday this year (I know it happens almost every 7 years-but go with me on this). I think as we worship God who created love and shared the ultimate love with us-we could help spread that love to those we see who need it most.

Happy Valentines Day!
