One year, as a little boy I drew a picture for the General Electric Appliance Park Employee Christmas Party Poster Contest. It was open for all the kids of GE employees. My dad was a GE engineer. My poster won!!!!! I received 10 bicentennial quarters!
Kids you now have a chance to win a little bit more than that but what's really excited is the fact that you may have your design wrapping presents all over the TN Valley. The Times Free Press Holiday Gift Contest kicked off yesterday. The deadline for your entry is Wednesday November 23 at 5pm.
Use an 8 1/2-by-11-inch piece of unlined paper. Your entry must have your name, age, address, telephone number, grade and school printed on the back. A teachers name is also helpful!
Mail or hand-deliver them to Wrapping Paper Contest, Chattanooga Times Free Press, 400 E. 11th St Chattanooga TN 37403.
Use the entire piece of paper and use anything you want......paint, crayon, chalk, markers, pens. The brighter the colors the better!
