Want to eat on TV?
If you've ever watched Restaurant Impossible on The Food Network perhaps you, like me, have been amazed to see how Ripped Chef Robert Irvine and his team of designers and builders can come into a failing restaurant and in just two days and only $10,000 turn it all around. These struggling families have almost lost all hope until this transformation takes place.
If you've been in downtown Chattanooga just across the street and down from the Chattanooga Choo Choo, you have probably noticed the corner restaurant called "Blue Orleans." It's a Cajun restaurant started by Husband and wife Cherita and Michael Adams who fled New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Have you ever eaten there? No? Neither have many, which is why it is on the Food Network's radar. Chef Robert feels like this restaurant can be saved and needs your help.
Blue Orleans has been chosen to receive this Reality TV makeover and they will be "making the transformation happen" on Dec 19 and 20.
They are looking for volunteers ages 18 and up who are licensed or certified individuals in painting, crafting, construction, remodeling, cleaning, decorating etc. There will be three shifts. If this sounds like something you would like to participate in email volunteer@restaurantimpossiblevolunteers.com by 3pm on Dec 16. Use the Subject Line; 1611 TN Volunteer. List which one of the three shifts you would like to serve at (Shift 1-Thurs Dec 19 7pm-2am, Shift 2-Thurs Dec 19 7pm-2am, Shift 3-Friday, Dec 20 10:30-6pm), full name, email address, phone number and your skill set/related profession.
The show is also looking for people who would like to come and have dinner at the grand reveal. Reservations are required and you will pay for your own food. (They are trying to save this restaurant after all!) To make your reservations email volunteer@restaruantimpossiblevolunteers by 3pm December 16. In the subject line put 1611 TN RESERVATIONS. Include in your email full name, email address, cell number, party size and the names of all people in your party.
Let''s support this local family and someone tell Chef Robert that I said "Hi!"
