Ramp Tramp 4-H Fundraiser
Cup and Cross Ministries will have a booth hosted by Kariayana's Kitchen at the annual Ramp Tramp. The Polk County Tennessee 4-H Ramp Tramp is an annual festival held at Camp McCroy 4-H Camp in Reliance, Tennessee, celebrating its 66th year in 2025 on April 25-26. This free two-day event features live music, including bluegrass, folk, and rock-and-roll oldies, alongside a traditional Ramp Meal consisting of ramps (wild leeks) cooked with eggs, white beans, cornbread, fried potatoes, and streaked meat bacon. The festival begins Friday evening with "Bluegrass & Beans" at 6 p.m., followed by Saturday’s lineup of music, an outdoor crafts festival starting at 10 a.m., and a sit-down meal served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bagged ramps are also sold until supplies run out. Proceeds support the Polk County 4-H Clubs and Camp McCroy. The event traces its roots to 1958, when 4-H members hiked Big Frog Mountain to harvest ramps and enjoy a spring meal.
