With the November 9th holiday debut of Very Merry Christmas and April's release of What We Want, What We Get (Razor & Tie), topped off with the infectious hit single "God Gave Me You," a successful tour and a viral music video, this proves that 2010 was quite the year for songwriter and performer Dave Barnes.

Since he began his musical career, Barnes continues to showcase his quintessential style of classy and timeless music tied with a solid dose of his traditional Southern upbringing and humorous charm. In fact, his story of his rising musical career is currently being promoted on the homepage of Performing Songwriter magazine. RADIO
To top off the year, his hit single "God Gave Me You" was one of the most played songs in 2010 and continues to be heard on radio stations across the nation. According to Billboard's year-end charts, it was the 15th most played song at CHR and the 24th most played at Christian AC. The next single from What We Want, What We Get slated for radio is "What I Need."

Barnes' Christmas singles have been making a huge mark at radio as well. "Christmas Tonight," his duet with Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott, is this season's 5th most played Christmas song, keeping chart company with such artists as Mariah Carey and the cast of Glee. Additionally, two weeks ago "Very Merry Christmas" was the free iTunes Discover Download single for the week and now through Christmas, Very Merry Christmas can be purchased for only $5 at Amazon.com.

TOUR & MOCHA CLUB
The Very Merry Neighborly Christmas Tour, performing to sell-out crowds during its 15-city run, wrapped up this weekend in Nashville where Barnes was joined by Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, Gabe Dixon, and other special guests to spread the holiday cheer. The tour partnered with the Mocha Club for their Clean Water project area, which helps fund the building of wells in the Sudan for refugess of the Darfur genocide. Barnes is a long-time supporter of Mocha Club, a generation of activists giving up the cost of two mochas, or $7 a month, to fund relief and development projects in Africa. Touring will continue well into the new year for Barnes as he will continue to promote his current studio release What We Want, What We Get along with his previous recordings. Stay tuned to DaveBarnes.com for the most updated tour schedule.

VIDEO
A highlight of Very Merry Christmas was the music video for "Christmas Tonight," featuring Barnes alongside television actress Jennifer Love Hewitt. The video was directed by and also features Alex Beh. The video not only debuted on Perez Hilton, but it also was featured on US Magazine's site, Huffington Post's entertainment front page and OK! Magazine's website.
