It’s big news for Newsboys! God’s Not Dead, their brand new CD, just released yesterday November 15th and is receiving huge accolades from the fans and critics alike.

God’s Not Dead showcases the best music yet from front man Michael Tait and band mates Jeff Frankenstein (keys), Duncan Phillips (drums), and Jody Davis (guitars), as the project offers today’s most embraced modern worship anthems. Putting that special Newsboys touch on seven tunes that have recently topped the Church Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) chart, such as the first radio single “God’s Not Dead (Like A Lion)” along with “Forever Reign” and “Revelation Song,” five originals round out the project (“The King is Coming,” "I Am Second," “Here We Stand").

Not skipping a beat since their critically acclaimed 2010 release, Born Again, the band continues to receive tremendous support for God's Not Dead from retail, radio stations, media outlets, and dedicated fans across the nation and world.

RADIO -
The lead single from the project, title track "God's Not Dead," is gathering momentum at CHR radio and is poised to be the first major hit of 2012. The single will release to the AC format in January. Early markets on the song include Grand Rapids, MI; Tampa, FL; Green Bay, WI; Spartanburg, SC; Farmington, NM; Anchorage, AK; Ponca City, OK; San Luis Obispo, CA; Wausaw, WI; and Jackson, MS. Numerous radio stations love the single, and a couple of them are sharing these words:

"The Newsboys have been 'reborn' for our audience and they are loving the new music. God's Not Dead is a hit! Great to hear Kevin Max again!"
- Brian McIntyre, PD at WONU FM in Bourbonnais, IL

"Why on earth does one need to come up with a clever quote for a song so strong in message, and quality, that it would blow me away to think a station would have to even think twice about playing it? ‘God’s Not Dead’ is GREAT!"
-Jim "The Kid" Raider of WORQ in Green Bay

MEDIA -
What does the media think about God's Not Dead? Popular outlets such as HearItFirst.com, NewReleaseTuesday.com, JesusFreakHideout.com, Rhapsody,  gmc, CCM, to name just a few and so many more have heavily promoted God’s Not Dead. Here's what some of them are saying:

“The group has come together to create what is their finest worship record to date, and quite possibly, one of the best Newsboys albums ever….There is no doubt about it, if you’re going to walk away with one message from this album, it’s this: God is alive… and He is absolutely worthy to be praised.”
- NewReleaseTuesday.com

“There is a liveliness to God's Not Dead that puts pep in your step and joy in your heart...Bottom Line - seven covers and five original songs add up to almost 50 minutes of amazing music that will lift your spirit while lifting the name of our Lord.” - About.com

“…the best product from the latest incarnation of the Newsboys…” and from an early JFH review, “God’s Not Dead is looking to be the accomplished worship album this November, as well as a record Newsboys fans will be pleased to sink their teeth into…”
- JesusFreakHideout.com

This new album from the Newsboys is definitely ear catching and worship ready...very impressive and won’t let you leave without feeling inspired..."
- Breathecast.com

“There’s a decidedly global rock sound on Newsboys’ latest worship release. The collection…should appeal to longtime Newsboys fans as well as those looking for an up-tempo worship release.”
- CCM digital magazine

“Newsboys at their best.” - The Front Row Report

ABOUT GOD'S NOT DEAD:
At the album’s core, God’s Not Dead sings of victory over a century’s worth of philosophers who thought otherwise. Friedrich Nietzsche once proclaimed, “God is dead.” But as Newsboys’ friend and pastor Rice Broocks likes to say, “A funny thing happened on the way to the funeral.” The belief that God is indeed alive is the truth Newsboys are amplifying. “God’s not dead, let’s worship Him,” says Michael Tait. “We serve a living God!”

Tait’s outspoken message is carried by Newsboys’ signature sound that Frankenstein, Phillips, and Davis have shaped together for nearly two decades now. The band is currently on tour headlining the west coast leg of the Winter Jam tour, then joining The Story tour next month, which runs through December 18th. At the start of 2012, Newsboys will embark on their “God’s Not Dead Tour.” A press announcement about the tour will be distributed soon.
