Oil and Water

Oil and Water don't mix. That's what they say. One thing is sure, the southeast has had its share of both Oil and Water. With the massive oil spill in the gulf and the unprecedented flooding in Nashville it seems the entire southeastern US is in clean-up mode. We must continue to pray daily for those whose lives have been changed forever by these events. Which brings me to another point....is there some clean-up in your life that needs to be underway? We all have our own floods and oil spills. The flood of sin and the nasty murky water it leaves behind. But God has made a promise to us all that through His Son, Jesus Christ, we can be cleansed from all unrighteousness. That means the nasty flood waters and oil spills in our life that are a result of our disobedience can be washed whiter than snow! Here's what God has promised us:
NIV: 18“Come now, let us reason together,†says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
So keep praying for Nashville and the gulf coast, but think about what other clean-up needs to be done. Today.
