I remember heading down California US 101 from Lompoc to Ontario
for our annual visit to see Dziadzi and Babci ( polish for
grandma and grandpa) in the back of a 64 VW bug... we had to leave
after dad got of work so by the time we got to theit house it was
dark. Now I was about 5 years old and had no concept of distance,
just the sporatic signs that lead the way. Now there was one
special sign, The Montclair Plaza Sign, whenI saw that, all lit up,
towering over the 10 freeway, I knew that happiness, choclate ice
cream, and lots of hugs were just five minutes
away!
Now I have another sign that makes me all giddy.. when I see it I
see up ahead is laughter, joy, euphoria and a sense of awe... The
Cross.
