School is officially back in session and there is still so much going on! Football season, fall festivities beginning, and so much more!

First up, you can meet the Chattanooga Mocs at the Chattanooga Market, Sunday, August 19, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Go get your autographs, pictures, and much more.

How about a duck race? This Saturday, August 17 at 9 am you can adopt a duck for only $5 and watch it race. All proceeds go to the Kiwanians' philanthropic project. About 5,000 ducks will be dropped from the Walnut Street Bridge into the river. To adopt a duck email kiwanischatt@comcast.net.

If you are wanting to see some action, checkout the Tennessee Knock-Out Extreme Enduro this weekend. You can spend your weekend watching men and women race around the course at Trials Training Center, 300 Woodland Rd., Sequatchie, Tennessee. They will be racing all weekend long! Some people are so excited to know that hunting season is coming soon and we have good news! Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's are offering free seminar classes for numerous different hunting styles as hunting season is just around the corner. They are even offering classes for kids. Kids weekend will be Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26 at Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's. Did I mention these are free classes? Holy cow! The Polk County Fair is coming to Benton on Monday, August 20. There will be events going on every night, starting Monday, August 20 and ending on Saturday, August 25. For more information on all things fair, call 423-715-3975.

Are you ready for "sew" much fun? This weekend the Ringgold Quilt Show starts! You can show off your quits and get some more ideas from other quilters. Friday, August 17 from 10 am- 8 pm and and Saturday, August 18, 10am- 4 pm you can go get your sew on. For more information, call 706-937-3777.

How about some good BBQ and a good cause? This Saturday, August 18 the Sale Creek Lions Club will be hosting g a BBQ fundraiser. Food will be served from 11 am-4 pm and there will be gospel singing.You can buy a full BBQ plate, including baked beans, slaw, rolls, drinks, and desserts. You can enjoy your BBQ dinner at the clubhouse, 15222 Coppinger Road behind Sale Creek Middle/High School.

Last but not least, if you are looking for some family fun, check out the Faith Festival in Lafayette, Georgia, Saturday, August 18. This is a day where many different churches will come together to worship and fellowship. it will be held at the Ross Abney Complex in Lafayette. The event will start at 10:30 am and go to 3:00 pm.
