Years In The Making

In October of 2017, CCM Sunday, a Contemporary Christian Music radio show that I hosted for twenty-four years came to an end. Since CCM Sunday ended, I have been listening again - with a new ear - to Contemporary Christian Music. An ear that was now a little unfamiliar and uncomfortable. An ear that for the first time since November of '92, was on the outside looking into a world and music format that I love.

Many thought that I would move on and jump quickly to a radio station that played CCM Music. I wanted to, but more than that I wanted God to show me my next step to take - or not to take. Regardless, I wanted all of this to be His timing - not mine

I looked, watched, waited, and prayed.

This past August, my next step arrived. I began a conversation that lasted months. This conversation was with friends who I have listened to and at times partnered with in ministry through the years. After some initial 'what if' thinking, we soon landed on what my role would be and then we waited for God's perfect timing.

Beginning today, I joined the J103 air staff by filling in on the morning show for a few days. Then, beginning January 8, I'll be shining the light every weeknight from 7 to midnight.

In many ways, I have come full circle, back to the place I had a small hand in getting started back in 1995. I'll be joining a staff that I have been friends with all along and am thrilled for the new ministry in my life (once again).

Join me nightly on J103 or anytime online here or on social media @djbobbydaniels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).
